Made for the Lincoln Red Shorthorn Society, the film shows the annual Lincoln Bull sale, cattle at the Lincolnshire Show, and a number of individual herds filmed at the properties of their owners, mostly in Lincolnshire. There are numerous close ups of prize animals, and detailed explanatory titles giving names, locations, and herd statistics.

A delightful film which perfectly captures the sheer exuberance of town children getting a rare taste of open air life by the sea. The boys, mostly 10 to 12 year olds, are seen packing, leaving home, setting up camp, filling their bedding with straw, fetching water, chopping wood, and preparing meals. Down at the beach, they swim, play cricket and hockey, and chase each other around the dunes. The film ends with a day of organised sports attended by the Mayor of Rotherham, and preparations for a bonfire.
These camps were held annually from 1934-39. Most of the film is believed to date from 1938, with additions made in 1939.

A promotional film for Smethursts of Grimsby. A few introductory fishing scenes are followed by excellent footage showing the catch being unloaded at Grimsby Fish Dock. The bulk of the film shows the filleting, packing, freezing, storage, and dispatch of the firm’s frozen fish products for domestic and catering consumers.

The projectionist is shown lacing up a reel of film, starting to run it, and stopping at the end. The rewind boy fetches and rewinds the film, also checking the gramophone turntables. The fire escape, and the fireproof storage lockers for the spools of highly flammable film are also clearly seen.
