The May Fair, with scenes of the town en fete for the Jubilee. An unidentified group then visits the Boston Rose Farm. The main part of the film shows the Children's Party in Central Park, with sports, a boxing tournament, sideshows, fancy dress parade and a spectacular fireworks display. A church parade concludes the celebrations.

A wide range of events and pleasing, colourful scenes in the town, including most notably the railway station, the May Fair, the V.E. Parade, the cattle market, and the fishing fleet returning laden with shrimps. There is also footage at Coningsby, showing aircrew boarding a Lancaster, Lancasters taking off and landing, and a training exercise with an inflatable dinghy.
