Filmed in St Thomas's Road during the annual Catholic "Pilgrimage". People from every age group and social class pass the camera on their way from the church to Ayscoughfee Paddock. Local and visiting clergy are seen, also the Town Band. Itinerant potato pickers carry the embroidered processional banners.

Platoons approach along Boston Road, and take up their positions in the Park, where the Inspection is held; later, they march past the saluting base in Park Road. Seen briefly is the Holbeach "Flying Bedstead", a breakdown truck fitted with a machine gun.

Filmed at Richardson's Farm. There are brief scenes of horse-drawn ploughs and carts, wood chopping, etc, but the main subjects are cut flower and bulb production, with scenes in the daffodil fields, sorting bulbs, and packing and despatching cut flowers.

It shows volunteers organising a Pensioners' Lunch Club, hospital transport, Good Neighbour schemes, holidays for tired mothers, etc. Controversially, for its day, it also includes what were then felt to be graphic scenes of rape and drug abuse in its section on young people.

In the garden, two young men in immaculate whites give an amateurish gymnastic display, using chairs, tables, ladders, etc, rather than regular vaulting horses. In fact, both men were keen athletes, who coached at local Youth Clubs, and they frequently performed at Garden Fetes, often with their Club teams. (No 271 includes one such display.)
